By no means is DU a character-driven comic. However, there are some fixtures around here. So here they are, complete with unnecessary exposition!

1. Charleston "Charles" Scopes, 19 years old

Well-meaning but odd, Charles is a curious soul with no direction in life. He lives in his brother's house while trying to land a job, any job. His dress code is one of liberation and comfort, although it has had the opposite effect on his brother's social life.

2. Carter Scopes, 23 years old

Carter is a recent engineering graduate who was kind enough to take his wayward brother into his home. He enjoys teaching his cat Boolean logic and being cynical.

3. Joss Scopes, Ph.D., 30 years old

A distant cousin to the other two, Dr. Scopes hosts the public access show Gaming Scientific, where the happenings within games are taken to task against real-world physics and logic.

4. Tongue Depresser Einstein, 1 year old

Inanimate object, teaching aide, co-host of Gaming Scientific.

The following never appear in DU strips, but there is apparently a law on the books that mandates that they be present in the cast of every webcomic.
